Pulling the Tags! Code and Installing Firebase

<aside> 💡 There are several branches that the team is working on involving UI/UX, Bluetooth LE and TCN, and backend Firebase. In order to compile and test each branch we must pull all of the branches to our local repository (repo). There are several git commands that we must run in order to work on the various Covid Watch projects.

• [ ] Step 1 - At the command line enter “git clone https://github.com/covid19risk/covidwatch-ios.git”
• [ ] Step 2 - Press return(enter). Your screen should be similar to the screen below.

• [ ] Step 3 - Enter “cd covidwatch-ios” and press return to change to the directory with the iOS code.
• [ ] Step 4 - Enter “ls -l” and press return to see the list of files and directories. Mac users should see the following:

• [ ] Step 5 - Next enter “git status” and press return. You should see something similar to the screenshot below. “On branch dev” should be listed. This is the branch you will be compiling and testing against.

<aside> 💡 Next you will setup and install the Firebase libraries with CocoPods.

• [ ] Step 6 - While in the covidwatch-ios directory enter “pod install” and press return. This will install the libraries listed in the Pod file.

This completes the steps for pulling code and installing Firebase libs.

Opening Tags! In XCode

• [ ] Step 1 - At the command line enter “open COVIDWatch.xcworkspace” to open the XCode IDE. It may take some time for the code to fully load. See screenshot below….

• [ ] Step 2 - Click on the arrow next to COVIDWatch in the upper left corner to expand the directory structure. Then click on COVIDWatch. The center of the IDE will show the various sections to configure the app for distribution and compiling.
